Discovery Worldwide Names Matt Silver to SVP, Strategy, Engagement and Analytics

May 09, 2017, Philadelphia — Discovery Worldwide, a healthcare communications agency that combines the power of science, storytelling and innovative delivery to move health forward, announces the appointment of Matt Silver to SVP, Strategy, Engagement and Analytics. In this new role, Silver will lead and grow the team to fully optimize brand experiences across all of Discovery’s clients. Silver will report directly to Donald Young, Discovery’s Group Managing Director.

Under Silver’s leadership, the Strategy, Engagement and Analytics team develops compelling, fully-integrated strategies that are grounded in deep customer insights and activates those strategies to create holistic brand experiences. With a unique strategic process, the team develops and implements brand experience architectures connecting with patients and healthcare professionals when and where it’s most relevant to them. 

Silver comes to Discovery with over 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing with a focus on the intersection of strategy and technology in healthcare. He has led the development of well-defined brand strategies and advertising approaches across a wide range of products, and executed best-in-class digitally-focused integrated marketing campaigns. For example, at Havas Life Metro and REDBIRD, part of the Havas Health Network, he built a reputation for delivering innovation to clients in the specialty biotech space, including the launch of digital detailing for one of the world’s largest biotech companies. His career also includes leadership roles at Euro RSCG Life LM&P and Cell Division, a leading NYC agency acquired by Havas.
