Hixson Named Sr. Medical Director/Neurologist for FreshBlood’s Consortium

the addition of highly regarded neurologist, John Hixson, MD. Dr. Hixson
will step into a prominent role as a Senior Medical Director / Neurologist

Dr. Hixson is an accomplished clinical neurologist, associate professor at
the University of California San Francisco, American Academy of Neurology
Committee member, published author, and public speaker who holds a degree
from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his
residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

seizure detection and quantification.

Working on the frontline of e-health technology and healthcare policy, Dr.
Hixson also serves as the Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Clinical
Informatics at the SF VA Medical Center. Additionally, he previously served
as a clinical lead for patient-facing technologies in the VHA Health
Informatics Initiative (hi2) based in Washington DC.
