Celine Vita, a former executive at CDM, has been appointed president of Centron’s advertising division.

Vita joins Centron with more than 20 years of industry experience, including 16 years at CDM, most recently serving as the director of Business Growth and associate partner. During her tenure at CDM, Vita led strategic oversight of numerous brands and portfolios in the healthcare space for clients such as Novartis, Bayer, Biogen, and Takeda Oncology, and she was also at the helm of CDM’s London office for three years. Vita will report to Marcia McLaughlin, Centron chief executive officer, and will sit on the organization’s senior management team.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Centron,” Vita says. “The healthcare marketing industry is steeped in a time of change, and I believe that the agencies who will continue to be seen as optimal marketing partners for our clients are those willing to work to ensure commercial results are being met, regardless of which marketing disciplines help attain those goals.”

Vita is stepping in as Michael Metelenis fully retires. Metelenis had partnered with McLaughlin for more than two decades, first co-leading KPR to record-setting growth, and then co-building Centron into an award-winning agency.

“Celine is a great addition to my team,” McLaughlin says. “With her global perspective, strategic acumen, and impeccable collaboration skills across disciplines and with clients, I am confident in her ability to lead our advertising business and foster a truly open environment among all disciplines, reinforcing the principals on which Centron was founded.”

Centron, based in New York, is a full-service healthcare/medical communications agency offering senior-level strategic expertise in advertising, public relations, medical education, and market access. In her role as president of Centron Advertising, Vita will be working closely with McLaughlin and the entire Centron senior management team to drive growth and success for all divisions.

Centron, a HealthSTAR Communications company, is the lead U.S. agency in the Centron Global Network.

“Celine has the perfect mix of experience for success in today’s world of healthcare agencies,” says Chris Sweeney, CEO, HealthSTAR Communications. “She has a proven track record in advertising, she’s expanded an office with a global presence, and she has that hard-to-find quality — a real understanding of how to integrate across marketing disciplines to increase efficiencies and deliver commercial success for our clients.”
