People on the Move: Biotechnology Companies

 

Jacob Licht is now chief operating officer of VLP Therapeutics. Licht joins VLP Therapeutics after 10 years at Emergent BioSolutions, where he most recently served as VP, Corporate Development.

Hany Awadalla is now senior VP and chief financial officer of OncoQuest Inc. Most recently he served as managing director at National Securities.

Fulvio Mavilio, Ph.D., has become VP, Scientific Affairs, Europe of Audentes Therapeutics Inc. Dr. Mavilio will be based in Paris. Prior to joining Audentes, Dr. Mavilio served as scientific director of Genethon located in Evry, France.

Glenn Prestwich, Ph.D., was appointed as executive VP of Chemistry at Symic Bio. Dr. Prestwich, Presidential Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Utah and former member of the Symic Bio Scientific Advisory Board, will assume a direct executive role in the advancement of the company’s platform of clinical-stage therapeutics and in the expansion of its pipeline. Dr. Prestwich has led translational research efforts as Special Presidential Assistant for Faculty Entrepreneurism and has served as Director of the Center for Cell Signaling and of the Center for Therapeutic Biomaterials at the University of Utah.

Jesse McGreivy, M.D., is now chief medical officer of Adicet Bio. Prior to joining Adicet, Dr. McGreivy was the chief medical officer at Acerta Pharma Inc.

Julie Cooke was appointed chief people officer of Neurocrine Biosciences. Cooke came to Neurocrine from the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Research Institute where she served as senior VP for Human Resources and was a member of the executive management team.
