Why not go back to the old days and offer the nuns a choice of OC's or prophylactic radical mastectomy? We used to perform those procedures on women with fibrocystic disease of the breast (which is a premalignant condition), until the plastic surgeons took over. Besides, it would give the surgery residents a chance to practice a procedure they rarely get to perform these days now that most breast cancer patients can be treated with less invasive procedures.
