Pharmalot... Pharmalittle... Good Morning

Hello, everyone, and nice to see you again. As promised, we have returned. We trust you had a pleasant and productive week while we were away. And we want to say thanks for the nice send-off notes so many of you posted. Much appreciated. Now, though, the time has come to resume the routine of meetings and deadlines. And that calls for a few cups of stimulation as we gear up for another week and play catch up with a few items. Hope your day goes well and stay in touch...

The AMGEN story ("creating 100 jobs") is an interesting counterpoint to this older piece.

When this happened, a 1,000 contractors were "de-marshalled" and there were about 200 Irish nationals on the payroll, as I recall, who also had to be dealt with. A slow return but it is something.

Ed-Welcome back. I'm not sure what the Pharma Times article on seniors has to do with biosimilars.

Hi Salient Point,

Thanks for the welcome back and for a salient point. I obviously need more coffee, because the headline was incorrect. I have now fixed that. I appreciate the close read.

Cheers ed

Welcome back Ed - it's good to have "the PharmaLot open" again.

What coffee flavor are you using to celebrate your return to "all this fun?"

The latest data from AIM-HIGH casts serious doubt on the importance of the HDL story. Even if Roche develops its HDL drug successfully there will be little market for it. As evidence, sales of Niaspan have tanked ever since the AIM-HIGH data were released.
