It's not just the Viagra ads. This morning, as I was getting ready for work and flipping the TV channels during the time that used to be reserved for children's cartoons, there was a graphic discussion on a "Doctors" show concerning the female orgasm in explicit detail. The problem is way bigger than commercials.
Two years ago, at the Pfizer shareholders meeting the question was raised to CEO Jeff Kindler about banning Viagra during family hour TV programming. To paraphrase, Kindler said that as a father himself he shared the shareholder's concerns, and would personally look into the matter.
Bottom line--nothing has changed.
