For orthopedic patients possibly requiring Synvisc, here's a warning. Don't get ripped off by greedy orthopaedic surgeons who will tell you that you need three office visits over six months for three injections of Synvisc. That is the OLD product. The new Genzyme product is longer lasting, only requiring a single injection over a six month period.
