On the Abbott/Trilipix story, there was never any evidence that combining the drug with a statin had any benfits, and all the advertising had to say so. It is not surprising that, yet again, the statin/fibrate combo appears to be adding risk with no reward.
But Abbott has deployed an enomrous amount of marketing trying to suggest otherwise.
