Pharmalot... Pharmalittle... Good Morning

Hello, everyone. Yet another day is unfolding here on the Pharmalot corporate campus, where the sun is shining, the dogs are barking and the short people are hustling off to the local school house for a few hours before the holiday weekend begins. As for us, we are savoring a needed cup of stimulation and perusing the news of the world. As always, we ask you to join us and, of course, we wish you a pleasant day...

Hey Ed, have I told you how great it is to open this blog and read your daily welcoming salutation? You're obviously a morning person. So cheery and positive. Thanks for starting me off with a smile.

Related to GSK toothpaste, they've just hit the jackpot because of the Law of Unintended Consequences. Because of lawsuits over zinc toxicity from their denture paste, they've reformulated the product without zinc. Unfortunately zinc is the principle catalyst in the bonding process that allows the denture paste and thus the denture to adhere to the inside of your mouth. With the zinc free paste, some patients report having to re-apply their paste 4-6X/day instead of the usual 1-2. As a reult of their altruistic "concern" over patient safety, GSK is reaping a bonanza to the extent that some pharmacies are now routinely running out of the product.

Ed, have a great holiday. According to a recent survey 20% of people dread seeing their relatives for Thanksgiving. Maybe it's best to just eat my turkey burgers on my TV tray while watching all day reruns of Law and Order.
