Pharmalot... Pharmalittle... Good Morning

Good morning, folks. Nice to see you again. Seemingly pleasant skies are hovering over the Pharmalot corporate campus, where the birds are pooping on the official Pharmalot limousine and the mascots are fertilizing the weeds. As for us, we are hustling assorted short people off to their local schoolhouses and digging in for another busy day. We trust you have a similar agenda, which means there is no time to waste. So grab a cup of stimulation and peruse some tidbits. And, of course, have a grand day...

@John@PGISelf - man, you people just don't give up finding new ways to do what you do...determined stalkers...you remind me of the Eye of Sauron

Ed, get that bird poo off the car before it hurts your paint job.

dz, you may have uncovered something highly significant. The Eye of Sauron bears a strong resemblance to the album cover for "Eye in the Sky" by The Alan Parsons Project. See comparison below.

This is an urgent matter and must be addressed poste haste.

Nope. It's the Hendrix intro riff to "Purple Haze", the college apertif of choice in my day.
In regards to Bristol-Myers Squibb forming a collaboration with cancer research institutions, what about private cancer research laboratories? Progress in this area will require a change in thinking, from the bottom up, not top down. There are tools that exist today to measure which agent or combinations act by stimulating the immune system to control cancers. A concept of in situ cancer vaccination based upon studies of biologic response modifiers in an assay had been reported on a tumor immunotherapy study as far back as the early 1990's.

Preliminary results found a striking association between the activity of biologic response modifiers which activate macrophages and the prior treatment status of patients with breast and ovarian cancers. Effective therapy produced a massive release and processing of tumor antigens, which led to a state in which the human immune system, via in situ cancer vaccination, responded to exogenous macrophage activation signals with potent and specific anti-tumor effects. It's a shame, good research going to waste. Not enough Bullion for BMS?

Glad to see the stories about Canada. Lexchin is a smart guy. And why did Quebec get those gigs rather than Vermont, which if further right politically and definitely has a lower tax rate? On the other hand, Quebec has a richer history of corruption.
