If Chris Christie is serious about keeping pharma in New Jersey he should float a bond issue to buy the entire 127 acre campus of Roche in Nutley. It's primo real estate, 12 miles from NYC. He should then use his heft, so to speak, and tax incentives to create a world class science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovation center. You have proximity to leading research universities in the NY metro area to contribute.

Why should the state lose R&D arms of companies like Novartis, Merck, and Sanofi to Boston when we can create something right in our own back yard.
