Pharma headcount pretty much a zero sum game. The 1000 new hires by Roche in China closely offests the number of pink slips in Nutley. Different jobs, of course but with the EM's leading the way in market driver growth it only makes sense to put the jobs where the new customers will be. Even with Chinese growth "slowing" to 7-8% annualized GDP this year it beats the pants off the US.
