Then $10/hour day laborers that I've observed work 10-12 hours/day, don't have contract-mandated 30 minute coffee breaks 2X/day, guaranteed sick pay, tuition matching programs for their kids or gold-plated health insurance. One of them prevented a break-in at a neighbor's house recently, so that I think that they can work security. From what I've seen, break-ins at Pharma manufacturing plants are usually inside jobs by company employees. An independent outside contractor would probably be less likely to pull this off, like the recent "roof job" at Lilly.
