You may recall that former New York City mayor and presidential aspirant Rudy Giuliani was a paid consultant to Purdue Pharma, which was fined for its Oxycontin marketing, and he
helped negotiate a deal with federal prosecutors that kept company execs out of jail. But when he was a US Attorney in Manhattan, Rudy didn't hesitate to send junk bond dealers to jail because they preyed on the system.
So we asked you whether Rudy, who speaks non-stop about wanting to serve society, should have passed on representing Purdue. A glitch may have been responsible for the light turnout of just 38 voters, which is hardly enough to reach any informal conclusions. However, the results were reasonably close, suggesting Rudy may have to address this later.
In any event, here's what you decided:
Yes - 22 voters, or 58 percent; No - 16 voters, or 42 percent.
