Each year since 1990, Med Ad News has ranked and profiled the health-care marketing communications agencies in its April issue. As a companion to the publication, this special report details information gathered directly from the agencies regarding the product and corporate advertising accounts that they promote. This annual report provides information on thousands of accounts from more than 400 pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostic, device and other companies serviced by the health-care advertising agencies. For the first time this year, the special report includes all of the active accounts held by the agencies during 2004, including domestic, global, international, educational, and other major advertising accounts.
The accounts are sorted in two ways: by agency and by client. The agency chart (starts on page 3) provides the roster information of each agency, listed in alphabetical order by the agency name. The client chart (starts on page 41) provides the roster information of each pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostic, device, or other type of company listed in alphabetical order by the company name.
Both charts display the following information:
• Agency name
• Client name
• Year account was won
• Type of account
