Erica Rivera

Erica Rivera was promoted from senior director to VP of engagement strategy. She is overseeing multichannel marketing strategy for all agency clients, supporting their success by helping create the most relevant and quantifiable experiences for their target audiences. 

Rivera also continues to play a leadership role on AbelsonTaylor’s substantial portfolio of rare disease accounts and contributes to new business development. 

 

New Hires for Calcium

Kate Shaughnessy

Kate Shaughnessy has become executive VP, head of client services, at Calcium, one of the more recent additions to the agency’s executive leadership team. Shaughnessy brings more than 18 years of experience in transforming client relationships.

Biopharma digital-marketing agency closerlook promoted Amy Wolgemuth Bordoni to VP, executive creative director. The promotion advances Bordoni to the closerlook executive team where she is helping to shape the agency’s business growth and culture. According to management, she continues to oversee the hiring of creative team members while directing award-winning work and delivering innovative solutions for clients.

Monika Klimek

The digital-native agency expanded closerlook’s data science division and hired Monika Klimek to manage the unit as VP of data science. Klimek is leading her team to engineer transformative experiences and deliver brand growth.

Health communications agency Evoke KYNE announced the promotion of Dante DelVecchio to senior VP. As a member of the firm’s senior management team, DelVecchio continues to oversee key client engagements in infectious diseases, vaccines and immuno-oncology, and reports to Stephanie DeViteri.

Sommer Bazuro, PhD, was promoted to the newly created position of chief medical officer across FCB Health Network’s U.S. and E.U. offices. According to management, Dr. Bazuro is an incredible leader with unparalleled medical credentials, and has been the catalyzing force behind FCB Health Network’s medical leadership. “By elevating FCB Health Network’s unmatched expertise and cultivating lasting relationships with clients, Sommer has reimagined the role and expectations for medical strategy,” said Michael Guarino, chief commercial officer for FCB Health Network. 

 

New Executive Creative Director for FCB Health NY

Laura Mizrahi

Laura Mizrahi has joined FCB Health New York as an executive creative director. While her portfolio includes some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, the agency says Mizrahi is best known for her work on Cialis, which helped propel the brand from a third-to-market product to number one in sales in the drug’s category.

Fingerpaint Continues Hiring Spree

Fingerpaint, a full-service health and wellness marketing agency with five offices across the United States and more than $80 million in revenue, continues to hire new personnel. Here are some of the recent appointments:

Tony Jerig

Dr. Daniel Schroen was made head of Photo 51, a consultancy focused solely on advanced therapeutics. Fingerpaint announced the creation of the consultancy in June. Schroen, who leads the strategic consulting teams at Photo 51, reports to Roshawn Blunt, managing director of 1798, a Fingerpaint company. Blunt is overseeing the growth of Photo 51 and works with Schroen to solve clients’ complex scientific challenges.

Fingerpaint named industry veteran Tony Jerig to lead the agency’s information technology team. As head of information technology, Jerig is growing and maintaining already-strong internal system standards for the agency. He was additionally appointed to the agency’s operating board.

Industry veteran Danielle Bedard was named to the newly created role of director, corporate communications and business development. “With two decades of experience in healthcare communications, Bedard brings a rare blend of industry experience, agency expertise and operational and business development insight,” according to Fingerpaint.

Long-time bicoastal pharma recruiter  was appointed to lead Fingerpaint’s talent acquisition As lead recruiter, Gomola was tapped to ensure personnel excellence as the agency continues to generate record-setting growth.

Art Stiefel was brought on to oversee Fingerpaint’s digital department in the Conshohocken, Pa., office. Stiefel is an award-winning strategist who brings more than 30 years of experience to Fingerpaint.

 

New Global CFO for GTO

has joined Greater Than One (GTO) as global chief financial officer. According to the GTO leadership team, the appointment is designed to provide additional financial oversight to an agency becoming increasingly known as the health and wellness “Imagination Agency.” Mahadeva is primarily responsible for financial management of GTO Global.

Langland Taps Clinical Trial Diversity Specialist

Langland appointed Angela Rochelle as account director, head of diversity initiatives in clinical trials. In this role, Rochelle is the agency’s leading advocate for diversifying patient representation in Clinical Trial Experience (CTE). In addition, she collaborates with Langland’s established clinical trial inclusivity taskforce – a team committed to designing and deploying clinical trial communications that proactively address common barriers experienced by underrepresented communities, and advising on best practices throughout the agency’s US, UK, and Australia offices. 

 

New President for McCann Health North America

McCann Health appointed Jim Joseph as president, McCann Health North America, following news of the network’s consistently impressive performance in global award show recognition and new business wins during the past year. Joseph oversees all North American advertising and promotion agencies in the U.S. and Canada, as well as building and expand the North American growth team.

Jesse Kates Returns to Neon

Jesse Kates has returned to FCB Health Network agency Neon as co-managing director in partnership with Mardene Miller. He replaced longtime co-managing director Kevin McHale, who, after almost a decade with the agency, left Neon at the end of September.

“There is no one in our industry that I admire and respect more than Dana Maiman (FCB Health Network President and CEO),” Kates said. “When she approached me about coming back to partner with Mardene, it was an opportunity too good to pass up,” Kates said. “Neon is an amazing agency filled with incredible talent, and it’s a core part of the best network in health advertising. New CEO for Ogilvy Health

Kate Cronin was appointed chief executive officer of Ogilvy Health, replacing Andrew Schirmer. Cronin is responsible for driving all aspects of Ogilvy Health’s business globally. In this new global role, she is also serving as a member of Ogilvy’s global leadership team. 

In her new position, Cronin is overseeing the core capabilities within Ogilvy Health including Brand Strategy, Advertising, PR & Influence, Medical Education, HCP Promotion, Market Access, and Patient/Consumer Engagement. “There is no better time to work in health and I’m excited about the many ways Ogilvy Health can partner with clients to help them solve for a range of unmet needs we are seeing in the marketplace,” Cronin said.
