An acquisition and new hires at Fishawack Health

Fishawack Health (FH) has added industry creative leader Marcia Goddard as the group’s new chief creative officer, and Scottie Lee has come aboard as chief delivery officer for the U.S. marketing group. FH has additionally acquired the U.S.-based health economics and outcomes research consultancy Policy Analysis Inc. (PAI) as part of the company’s expanding Value, Evidence and Access (VEA) capability.

Goddard, who was formerly president of McCann Health in New Jersey and San Francisco, now leads the creative for the U.S. Marketing group.

“Marcia Goddard has built an enviable reputation as an award-winning creative, leader, mentor and strategist,” says Jon Sawyer, president of U.S. Marketing at FH. “Her ability to bring together creative and account teams to produce exceptional work not only will benefit our client brands, but also
elevate our creative output.”

While at McCann Health, Goddard led the agency through its most profitable year, achieving high retention rate, significant pitch/win conversions and multiple creative wins. At FH, Goddard is expected to be a galvanizing force who will spark creative innovation. She is now managing and working with 150 creatives across the United States.

“I’ve always been passionate about people,” Goddard says. “Great people can help fuel creativity in any organization. What attracted me to FH is its ability to bring together talented individuals who truly respect each other and care about their perspectives. That type of culture speaks volumes.”

Goddard rose through the ranks at McCann Health, starting out in copywriting, then moving up the ladder as creative director, CCO, and finally as president. A graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., Goddard reports to Sawyer and is based on the East Coast.

Lee, who has joined Fishawack Health during a time of accelerated growth, came from Wunderman Thompson, a WPP company, where he led the transformation to bring all U.S. offices into a common platform as senior VP, project management & operations. Lee worked with Wunderman Thompson for 15 years through various project management roles. WPP is one of the largest agency holding companies in the world.

“While at WPP, I was able to take a multinational organization and bring together people from different offices to work in a singular way that was beneficial to clients and to the brand,” Lee stated. “I can take what I’ve learned and share that same opportunity — the ability to help the team by taking on complex problems and solving them.”

According to Sawyer, FH has been experiencing explosive growth as more clients want their strategy, creative, digital, and analytics
integrated.

“Scottie has the exceptional ability of not only driving integrated work across the core capabilities, but also of being a remarkable manager,” Sawyer noted. “People who’ve worked with him in the past talked about his honesty, ability to step in to help, and mentorship of others.”

Like Goddard, Lee is based on the East Coast. He is traveling to different offices as he creates a new
platform to connect the FH teams. He is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans.

With the addition of PAI, company executives say FH now has one of the largest and fastest-growing teams dedicated to value, evidence, and access. PAI’s team of more than 30 professionals joined FH’s growing team of strategy consultants and technical experts. In addition to PAI, the VEA team comprises the U.S.-based market access consultancy, Skysis, and global market access consultancy, PRMA Consulting, which joined FH in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

“We are delighted to welcome the PAI and hēRo3 teams to FH,” says Jon Koch, CEO at FH. “They bring an outstanding reputation and track record of technology-led innovation. With their expertise, we are uniquely positioned to offer truly insightful strategic thinking and technical execution to meet payers’ evolving demands. These services are integral for helping our clients make critical decisions early in product development, mitigating some of the risks of bringing new molecules and indications to
market.”

PAI’s core capabilities include HEOR strategy development, evidence-generation planning, economic modeling, real-word evidence and trial-based data analytics, evidence synthesis, and health technology assessment. In 2018, PAI launched the innovative digital platform hēRo3, which has streamlined HEOR modeling at many biopharmaceutical companies and helped usher in an era of rapid HEOR analytics for pipeline assets.

Gerry Oster, Ph.D., managing partner at PAI, became FH’s new global head of health economics, leveraging his more than 30 years of experience in HEOR. “When the FH and PAI leadership teams met for the first time, the synergies and fit were immediately apparent,” Oster says. “It was clear that we shared not only core values as companies, but also a vision of how, together, we could bring significant value to our clients.

“As hēRo3’s rate of adoption continued to accelerate, it became clear to us that we needed the right partner to help us ensure that it realized its full potential. We look forward to becoming an integral part of FH’s new VEA team, helping the company become a powerful presence in HEOR by building on our experience, expertise, and our innovative digital platform, hēRo3.
