Moderna Inc. received a report from California’s health department that several people at a center in San Diego were treated for possible allergic reactions to the company’s Covid-19 vaccine from a particular batch.

Pfizer will temporarily reduce deliveries to Europe of the company’s vaccine against Covid-19 while upgrading production capacity.

Pfizer’s partner BioNTech boosted the 2021 delivery target for their Covid-19 vaccine to 2 billion doses, up from 1.3 billion previously, as they bring new production lines on stream and as more doses can be extracted per vial.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned health care personnel not to make any changes to the dosing of Covid-19 vaccines and that doing so would place the public health at risk and undermine “the historic vaccination effort to protect the population.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention administered 4,563,260 first doses of Covid-19 vaccines in the United States as of the morning of Jan. 4 and distributed 15,418,500 doses.
