As millions of people await their turn to get a Covid-19 vaccine that could be months away, online scammers via emails and messaging apps are luring victims with claims they can deliver shots within days for as little as $150.

Authorities from a record 123 countries, including the U.S. FDA, have taken action against hundreds of businesses suspected of illegally selling medicines over the internet, officials said.

The FDA and international authorities have formally sought to suspend 4,402 websites that illegally sell potentially dangerous, counterfeit or unapproved prescription drugs to U.S. consumers.
