Mainland China reported more than 1,500 new local COVID-19 infections on March 12, the most since the first nationwide outbreak in early 2020, as the Omicron variant prompted Beijing to introduce self-testing kits for the first time.

Fully vaccinated visitors to Walt Disney Co.’s U.S. theme parks will not be required to wear face masks in most areas starting on June 15, the company said, as the country’s Covid-19 cases continue to decline.

Disney World and other U.S. amusement parks updated their mask policy following the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut urged their residents to not travel between the three states as the U.S. Northeast sees a rise in Covid-19 cases, while California said major theme parks including Disneyland would not be opening anytime soon.
