ContextMedia:Health lands chief marketing officer
Dave Sheehan has joined ContextMedia:Health as chief marketing officer. Sheehan was appointed to lead marketing and communications, and drive the rapid growth of the firm’s marketing divisions in New York City and Chicago.
Known as a fixture in the ad agency industry in Chicago, Sheehan brings to ContextMedia:Health a deep marketing management and communications background. His client experience includes CPG, retail as well as financial services. Also, during the past 10 years Sheehan has developed a portfolio of leading healthcare clients, including Healthcare Services Corp. (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois), Advocate Healthcare, Indiana University Healthcare, Roche and others.
During his 14-year tenure as president of HY Connect, Sheehan developed the agency from a startup office to one that generated almost $180 million in billings. He then sold the business to Myelin Communications, a holding company wholly owned by Baird Capital, in June 2015. Before joining HY Connect in 2002, Sheehan started and built another full-service agency that he sold in 1997, and spent several years at Campbell-Mithun in Chicago in various senior account management positions. Sheehan has a history with ContextMedia:Health, having served in different advisory roles for the company.

The addition of Sheehan to the ContextMedia:Health team is only one of the firm’s recent high-profile hires from the tech, media and advertising communities. More recently, ContextMedia:Health added Jed Cohen, former co-founder and COO at RocketHub, as director of operations for its New York office.
