The Entrée Health network has evolved to include Valuate Health Consultancy, the rapidly growing market access consultancy offering of Omnicom Health Group, and three full-service value and access ad agencies (Entrée Health New York, Entrée Health Princeton, and Entrée Health Boston).

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Through a year that included the pandemic, the national reckoning on race, and the introduction of the Boston office, the Entrée Health network grew significantly in terms of offerings, personnel, and earnings, management says.

According to CEO Andrew Gottfried, “I’m most proud that we stayed true to our people and to our mission that people deserve access to the healthcare they need. In a time when how we connect changed rapidly, we successfully pivoted to a virtual workplace over a single weekend. We prioritized connection with our own staff so we could support each other through all of it.”

And Chief Creative Officer Nina Manasan Greenberg, PhD, says, “Frankly, it was life changing to be able to talk about race at work. One highlight? Pod for Better, an always-expanding group of employees who think critically about racism to discover, together, how to make our piece of the world a better place. While we have long taken advantage of MAIP and were committed to DE&I, OHG, and the 4A’s brought multiple new ways to mentor, sponsor, attract, and retain employees of color in this past year. We raise our hands for all of it.”

2020 saw a high double-digit increase in revenue, which enabled a record-breaking number of promotions across the network, the leadership team says, adding that the network is poised for another year of double-digit growth in 2021.

Valuate Health Consultancy Managing Director Dina Steinfurth explains one strong differentiator. “Our value and access data science department has very deliberately focused on data integration to create the Entrée Health Engagement EngineTM,” Steinfurth says. “This proprietary, fully interoperable, backend platform feeds customizable frameworks.” Network leaders say several products have already been developed on this platform, including CognuityTM, a self-learning dynamic resource center in use with several market access customers and clients at Entrée Health New York and an industry-changing pull-through platform, currently in beta at two offices.

STRUCTURE AND SERVICES

While Gottfried and Greenberg have cross-network responsibilities, the four offerings are helmed by strong, tenured individual leadership teams.

Valuate Health Consultancy specializes in optimizing market access and value strategy for drug, device, and diagnostics manufacturers. The Valuate Health Consultancy team comprises former market access executives, pharmacists, value and access-focused data scientists, and business strategists.

The three agencies are all full-service value and access offerings, which bring an average of 12 years in market access experience, and an absolute focus on innovation in this arena, network executives say.

Entrée Health New York is led by Executive VP, Creative Director Megan Hall and Executive VP, Director of Client Services Randi Baerson. “For us, health inequities are not just a moral imperative; we’ve made this work as a business imperative,” Hall says. “In no small part, we are staking our growth on it.”

Baerson adds, “We’re equally focused on developing more products like Cognuity. Our clients really get how products driven by the Entrée Health Engagement Engine maximize each customer engagement, personal and nonpersonal.”

Entrée Health Princeton is headed by Executive VP, Director of Client Services, Cora Meese; Executive VP, Creative Director, Copy, Jason Dineen; and Senior VP, Group Creative Director, Art, Paul Smith. The agency set the bar for the network the first week after offices closed last March, with the first suddenly virtual pitch.

Meese remembers, “Our business strategy was extremely sound, so we focused hard on our most critical X factor, real conversation with the clients.” Says Dineen, “Connection may be the reason we’ve retained and grown our staff and accounts this whole year.”

Two network veterans returned to open Entrée Health Boston a little more than a year ago. “It’s amazing to be both a startup company and to have the protection of the larger network,” says Senior VP, Client Service Director Lauren Elliott.

“We were in a unique position last March, in that we launched our company with a talent-first approach,” says Senior VP, Group Creative Director Alex Mindlin. “So we had staff living in Boston and across the country, and a culture that transcended place from day one.”

FUTURE PLANS

Network leaders say the value and access arena is always evolving, and with a new administration in the United States, the network has been preparing carefully. According to Valuate Health Consultancy Senior Principal Caleb DesRosiers, “We’re watching the legislation around price control, and the initial budgets from the new White House administration will give us great insights into where we’re headed in areas as varied as diagnostics and importation.”

The network has developed an Innovation Laboratory for the rapid prototyping, development, sales, and support of new data-based offerings. The new Spark SessionsTM are focused design-thinking events that solve value and access problems with specialized product innovation, management says.

PHILANTHROPY/CITIZENSHIP

Entrée Health New York has long partnered with the Tegan and Sara Foundation’s Queer Health Access initiative. Their current work is designed to understand why the LGBTQ+ community exhibits greater reluctance toward receiving the COVID-19 vaccine than their straight counterparts, and to effectively combat it. Management say together, they are creating the largest survey on this topic to date.

ZanaAfrica Foundation is the pro bono account for Entrée Health Princeton. Smith has shepherded the work, from billboards in Times Square to a soon-to-be relaunched website. As he explains, “Their mission is so aligned to ours: to give adolescent girls access to the tools and knowledge they need to safely navigate puberty and reach their full potential, and to break the period taboo.”

Valuate Health Consultancy works with the Young Survival Coalition to give a voice to the unique needs of young women with breast cancer. And Entrée Health Boston ended 2020 with a campaign of thanks to the frontline workers at Boston Children’s Hospital.
