The Entrée Health network posted a seventh consecutive year of double-digit growth, expanded via the acquisition of Archbow Consulting, and consolidated communications offerings under a single agency leadership. As the premier value and access offering of the Omnicom Health Group, Entrée Health leadership believes that 2022 will continue the streak of successes.

Recent Accomplishments

2021 saw Entrée Health expand offerings, capabilities, and staff across multiple dimensions. The network acquired Archbow Consulting, which focuses on product distribution and patient support, in April 2021. “The Archbow team brings deep experience in optimizing market access operations and patient access hubs. But more importantly, we’re aligned strategically and culturally,” says Andrew Gottfried, CEO. “Together we will create even stronger offerings for our clients.” The combined offering has, in its first year, begun a rebrand of a specialty pharmacy, delivered a complete patient support overhaul for a biotech manufacturer, and revamped a medication distribution system for a physician-administered product.

“In joining forces with Entrée Health, we can offer a more comprehensive set of consulting services to pharma and biotech companies,” stated Douglas Bock, Kevin Cast, and DeWayne Manning, Archbow’s founding partners.
The network also saw several clients return to the agency with new organizations, “which gave us an opportunity to work with old friends in new capacities,” says Chief Creative Officer, Nina Manasan Greenberg, Ph.D. “From digital therapeutics to gene editing, we’re on the cutting edge of what’s happening in healthcare, and market access, today.”

According to Randi Baerson, executive VP, director of product strategy and innovation, “We’re also introducing true omnichannel payer marketing. And our new Spark Sessions offering allows us to turn difficult, vague market access questions into testable prototypes in only four days of focused effort.”

But network leaders are proudest of the growth of the people. “We love that we added so many new faces to the team in 2021,” says Cora Meese, executive VP, director of growth and client services. “We love even more that we brought back several ‘boomerangs,’ saw promotions across the network, and encouraged new roles for others within the organization. We believe that alignment of values and growth mindset are far more important than geography or title, and we’re working hard to create space for all of our individual strengths to shine.”

Structure and Services

The network’s communications agency will be helmed by Meese and Megan Hall, executive VP, executive creative director. “After years of dividing ourselves by geography, we believe that our future as a full-service communications agency is better served with consistent processes and smaller, more nimble business units that provide clients with more engaged senior-level attention,” Hall says.

According to Meese, “We’ve paired creative leads and client services leads, rejecting the traditional tension between these two disciplines and giving them joint responsibility for creative excellence, business growth, and staff development.”

Valuate Health Consultancy is led by Dina Steinfurth, managing director. The leadership teams says this market access consulting practice combines real-world expertise with advanced analytics and deep customer insights to help life sciences clients optimize market access. “In 2021, we invested heavily in expanding our data analytics offerings, clinical expertise, advisory panels, and proprietary insights,” Steinfurth says. “When taken together with our long-standing and organized customer expertise, we’re unmatched in our ability to deliver meaningful insights and customer strategies to break through market access barriers for the innovative therapeutic interventions.” The team added physicians, data scientists, and health economists to the roster, and expanded services to include pricing studies, organizational design, and contract staff support to clients.

Archbow Consulting, led by Bock, Cast, and Manning, joined the network in 2021, adding expertise pharmaceutical product distribution, pharmacy solutions, and patient access and affordability. Select functions include devising distribution strategies for complex cell and gene therapies, advising on specialty pharmacy network selection and contracting, and designing, implementing, and optimizing patient support solutions. “We hire for real-world experience in the pharmaceutical industry,” Bock says.

“Being part of the Entrée Health network has expanded our capabilities from ensuring patients are able to access their prescribed medications, to helping drive demand with payers, patients, and prescribers,” adds Cast.

“It’s a total market access solution,” Manning says.

The network also recently organized product strategy and innovation offerings into a formal group, led by Baerson, with a remit to create solutions that marry market access knowledge with innovation, creative, and data science.

Baerson will draw on the talents of the entire network while adding dedicated team members with expertise in user experience, product management, operations, and tech strategy, and says, “Clients and customers have raised their expectations for communications, and we’re looking forward to bringing new solutions to market that will exceed those expectations.”

Future Plans

Dr. Greenberg has announced her retirement after 22 years as an agency leader. In announcing the planned transition, Gottfried states, “Nina has brought incredible heart, creativity, and business-savvy leadership to our organization, and it is a bittersweet moment for us to wish her well in her next chapter.”

Hall, who will lead creative services, says “I’ve been fortunate to call Nina a mentor and friend for nearly 20 years. She’s taught me the importance of values-first leadership as a force for creativity. I’m honored to be the next creative leader of Entrée Health.”

“Our executive leadership team has incredible chemistry and trust, built on years even decades together,” Gottfried says. “As we continue to evolve and optimize our business, we’re setting ourselves up for opportunities to both learn from what we’ve done in the past and experiment with new ideas that will set us up for the future.”

Philanthropy/Citizenship

Entrée Health’s leaders say the network continues its commitment to supporting health equity through partnerships with ZanaAfrica, giving adolescent girls in Kenya access to the tools they need to safely navigate puberty; with the Young Survival Coalition, providing a voice to the unique needs of young women with breast cancer, and with Black Girls Smile, a leading organization focusing on Black female mental wellness. A long-standing relationship with the Tegan and Sara Foundation resulted in a ground-breaking study on attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccination among the LGBTQ+ community, which Hall presented at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in June of 2021.

And management maintains that Entrée Health also remains deeply committed to ensuring equity of opportunity, and to openly discussing ways to be a more anti-racist organization.

Examples include internships through MAIP and executive coaching for Black leaders through the 4As Vanguard Program, active participation in Omnicom Health Group’s DE&IU, and a network-specific initiative called Pod For Better, a listening and discussion group focused on thinking critically about racism and discovering, together, how to make our piece of the world a better place.
