Fingerpaint fills high-level posts

Jeralyn Mastroianni joined Fingerpaint as chief people officer; Lori Thatch transitioned to head of strategy in the New York office; Pedro “Pete” Irizarry joined the agency as the head of account service in the Saratoga Springs, N.Y., office; Bill Kwiatkowski was appointed head of strategy in Fingerpaint’s Conshohocken, Pa., office; and Joanna Friel was named head of creative for the agency’s Phoenix office.

Jeralyn Mastroianni

Mastroianni comes to Fingerpaint with nearly 20 years of experience in building talent strategy and leading change in growth and acquisition environments. Mastroianni most recently served as head of HR, Isobar US and senior VP of talent at Dentsu. Before her time at Dentsu, she held human resources positions at worldwide corporations, including Citigroup and Deloitte Consulting.

The agency veteran is joining Fingerpaint during a time of massive growth for the agency. In March, Fingerpaint announced a strategic partnership with Leaderboard Branding, a leading global naming and branding business headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., which is expected to increase Fingerpaint’s global reach and expand services to better support clients in earlier stages of the commercialization process.

Lori Thatch

Thatch joined Fingerpaint in 2019 and brought with her more than two decades of health and wellness experience. Previous to Fingerpaint, she served as vice president, strategic planner at Dudnyk, leading the development of commercial and creative strategy across multiple brands, fostering client relationships, and mentoring account service team members toward understanding patient and healthcare professional experiences. Thatch has worked across various disciplines and therapeutic categories in the health and wellness space, and her background covers all stages of clinical development and commercialization.

In her new role, Thatch continues to bring innovative ideas and patient-focused strategy to clients to enable incredible campaigns. She is additionally continuing to build the strategy team as the agency maintains an incredible growth trajectory.

Pete Irizarry

Irizarry joins Fingerpaint with more than 20 years of marketing experience. He has accumulated a deep knowledge of brand marketing from every vantage point, having worked in brand management and sales before moving into agency roles. Previous to Fingerpaint, he served as executive VP, managing director and growth officer at McCann Health New Jersey for five years. Before that, Irizarry held progressively senior positions at agencies such as CDM and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Irizarry is filling the role that was vacated by Thatch. He is overseeing client relationships and account service, and is leading his teams to be successful partners to clients and to create work that reaches, informs, and empowers audiences. Irizarry is a key member of the leadership team in Fingerpaint’s New York office, helping to shape continued growth and strategy at the company’s foundational location.

Bill Kwiatkowski

Kwiatkowski joins Fingerpaint from natrel Health, where he was executive VP, strategic planning director. Fingerpaint says he brings with him 20 years of industry experience and a zest for bold, customer-centric value propositions. In addition to deep health and wellness experience, Kwiatkowski also brings an impressive background in the consumer space, with brands such as Cape Cod Potato Chips, KitchenAid, Espolòn Tequila, and Syfy. His health and wellness experience spans a wide variety of therapeutic categories, including dermatology, cardiology, and rheumatology.

At Fingerpaint, Kwiatkowski is overseeing brand strategy and medical strategy within the Conshohocken office, and he continues to bring innovative ideas and customer-focused strategy to clients to fuel industry-changing campaigns. He is playing a vital role on the Conshohocken leadership team as the agency continues to generate double-digit growth.

Joanna Friel

Friel joins Fingerpaint from Intouch Solutions, where she was a senior VP group creative director working on various brands that spanned across many therapeutic categories. She brings more than 30 years of advertising industry experience, spending the last nearly 20 years in the health and wellness space. Fingerpaint says Friel knows what it takes to create blockbuster, award-winning campaigns. She has led the charge in many industry-shifting creative campaigns that have left a lasting impact.

At Fingerpaint, Friel is overseeing creative within the Phoenix office, and she is leading the team in its continued pursuit for innovation and desire to push the boundaries with creative the industry has never seen before. Fingerpaint says as the team continues to grow, Friel will be an integral member of the office’s leadership team.
