New behind-the-scenes footage shows how tribute to Mister Rogers, doctors, and other everyday heroes came to life

TORONTO & NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–With its Contagious holiday video already hitting five million page views in just over a week, Klick Health is doubling down on kindness – pledging to double its initial $10,000 donation to the Fred Rogers Center if the video hits 10 million page views by the end of 2019. The company today also posted exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the viral video, which pays tribute to Mister Rogers and some of the most poignant real-life acts of kindness shared online.

The exclusive behind-the-scenes footage brings viewers into Klick’s office during the two-day shoot in November when it was transformed into a hospital set. It includes interviews with Klickster cast members, who re-enacted several viral YouTube clips featuring acts of kindness, and gives added insight into why the company has put the spotlight on kindness.

Klick Co-Founder and CEO Leerom Segal, who plays a neighbor sharing the festive spirit with newcomers, says in the new footage that “small random acts of kindness can have such incredible ripples through people’s lives.” He adds, “The character and essence of Klick is shaped around optimism and kindness, which is really what this video embodies.”

Alexis Penty, Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy, who portrays the mother of a pediatric patient said, “As a parent, (kindness is) something you want to teach your kids, so I like that it’s such a big cultural value at Klick. We say we hire for kind.”

Supporting the Fred Rogers Center and the healthy development of children
When Contagious launched just over a week ago, Klick pledged to donate $1 for the first 10,000 YouTube views to the Fred Rogers Center, whose namesake is synonymous with kindness, to support the healthy development of children. That goal was hit in mere hours.

As the number of views continues to escalate and break previous Klick holiday video records, the company has decided to double down and double its donation if it hits 10 million views. But it’s not all about views. As Creative Director Mark Scott says during the shoot, “We’re hoping that this will catch fire and incite a lot of kind acts in the real world.”

Producing memorable holiday videos has become a tradition at Klick. Its popular 2018 ‘Klickmas’ and 2017 ‘You Make Winter Warm’ videos each received almost three million YouTube views and last year, the CW Network featured Klick’s ‘Epic Office Holiday Remix with Andrew Huang’ on its ‘Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown’ show.

Klick’s Contagious holiday video can be viewed, liked, and shared at klick.com/holiday and on YouTube.
