New senior VP, executive creative director at Biolumina

Diane Iler-Smith has returned to Biolumina as senior VP, executive creative director. Iler-Smith has more than 20 years of strategic and creative leadership experience in healthcare communications, including extensive global and US branding and launch expertise. She leads all creative assignments at the agency.

According to Biolumina executives, Iler-Smith is driven by her passion for creating great work to make real differences in the lives of patients. In addition to being grounded in science, she is an experienced leader whose teams have created award-winning and market-moving work. With her creative intuition and branding experience, she brings depth of insight and understanding to the development of persuasive and powerful healthcare communications.

Most recently, Iler-Smith served as chief creative officer of Ogilvy Healthworld; prior to that, she was senior VP, senior creative director at Biolumina. She holds an MS in biology, pharmaceutical marketing, from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BS in biology and chemistry from Montclair State College.
