OCHWW promotes two to lead med ed practice, expands market access team with three promotions

Looking within for new leaders for its medical education practice, Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide promoted Jane Richter and Michael Melucci to executive VP, client engagement leads. In these new  roles, they serve as part of the OCHWW senior leadership team and have joint oversight of the organization’s growing promotional medical education and medical affairs services.

According to agency leaders, Richter and Melucci will redefine best-in-class medical education services, including innovative digital approaches to engage HCPs, data visualization and generation, and proprietary behavioral insights that help inform scientific narrative development.

“Jane and Michael are exactly the kind of visionaries our education clients want looking after their business,” according to OCHWW’s management team. “They both have a keen knowledge of the marketplace, having lived and breathed it for years, both are fiercely passionate about helping clients and colleagues better understand and navigate the complex med ed landscape, and as luck would have it, their complementing skill sets make them ideally suited to work together to lead this practice.”
Richter and Melucci stepped into the role previously occupied by Mary Anderson, who left the organization to pursue other opportunities. Richter has been with OCHWW for 12 years and Melucci for 20 years.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with Michael to collaboratively lead the medical education practice and build upon the momentum OCHWW has been experiencing in this field,” Richter says. “The team we have in place is a group of incredible professionals who are highly specialized, laser focused and driven to provide innovative and engaging educational experiences to HCPs and added value to our clients.”

Melucci adds, “I couldn’t agree more. Jane and I have worked side by side for quite some time and we’re both dedicated to pushing ourselves, our team, and our clients to continually evolve the role that med ed plays in HCP education. And we’ve had the advantage of being able to hone our skills at arguably the leading med ed practice in our industry and have made significant contributions to the development of OCHWW’s offerings over the years. I’m very excited about making an even bigger impact as we continue to grow.”

In other news, OCHWW announced the promotions of Raymond Johnson, Laura Kohler, and Beth Lebowitz all from VP, management supervisors, to senior VP, management supervisors, within the organization’s New Jersey-based market access team. Johnson, Kohler, Lebowitz each lead their respective account teams, where they gather strategic and competitive insights, develop actionable strategies and tactical plans to ensure ongoing optimization of product value propositions, and drive maximum customer engagement through innovative technologies and collaborative initiatives for their clients’ brands.

“Market access is more critical than ever to the success of our clients’ brands, and understanding the nuances of the payer channel requires experienced payer marketers and strategists,” says Michael Zilligen, head of OCHWW’s New Jersey-based payer groups. “These three members of our payer team are ‘trusted advisors’ and extensions of our clients’ payer team, and are counted on to solve complex reimbursement challenges their brands face.
