People on the Move: Service Companies


Anthony (‘Tony’) Mattacchione was named senior VP and chief financial officer of AMRI. Mattacchione succeeds Felicia Ladin, who announced her intention to leave AMRI in December 2017. Before joining AMRI, Mattacchione spent five years at Bruker Corp. where he served as chief financial officer. AMRI is a global contract research and manufacturing organization.

Christopher Scully is now executive VP and chief financial officer at Pharmaceutical Product Development LLC (PPD). Scully most recently served at Pfizer Inc. as chief commercial officer for the Pfizer essential health business unit. PPD is a leading global contract research organization.

Matilda Bingham was appointed site director of Concept Life Sciences’ Alderley Park site in Cheshire, UK. David Higton was named principal scientist (Biotransformation and Metabolite Identification), also based at the Alderley Park site. Bingham joined Concept from Redx Pharma, where she held positions as head of research and operations, and executive director of oncology and immunology. Higton came from Cyprotex, where he was head of analytical sciences. Concept Life Sciences is an integrated drug discovery, development, and analytical services company.

Heather Lee Ingram Whipple has been appointed to the newly created role of senior VP, global strategy and operations, at Ashfield. Amy Van Sant has become president of Ashfield’s new Medical Affairs business unit and Lee Ann Chaiken is senior VP of Ashfield’s Pharmacovigilance business. Whipple served at Sanofi where, in addition to running market access strategy, she led high-profile corporate strategic initiatives across a number of business units including counsel on U.S. market evolution and strategic recommendations to the global senior executive committee as it worked to refresh the global strategic plan. Van Sant was director, Regulatory Advertising & Promotion for the Pharmaceutical Sector within the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Compliance & Privacy Organization. Chaiken was senior director, IT implementation services, at IQVIA. Ashfield is part of UDG Healthcare plc, and is a global leader in commercialization services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Serge Bodart, M.S., is now senior advisor, Outcomes Science, at Bracket. Bodart is a seasoned clinical trial technology executive who has been immersed in the eCOA and patient reported outcomes (ePRO) industry for more than 20 years. In addition to serving as a member of the ePRO Consortium for the past four years, Bodart co-founded and served as CEO to Symfo, a European-based ePRO provider. Bracket is a clinical trial technology and specialty services provider.

Amy Turnquist has joined eHealthcare Solutions (EHS) as executive VP of Sales. Turnquist comes to EHS with more than 20 years of experience leading sales teams and growing businesses by creating and delivering innovative client-centric marketing and advertising solutions that connect healthcare brands with target HCP audiences.
