Experienced Medical Device Industry Executive Makes Jump to Start-Up Space
TORONTO, Can. – (June 8, 2022) – This week, Richard Marritt joined Xandar Kardian, a rapidly growing technology startup utilizing ultra-wide band radar signal processing for predictive health monitoring solutions. Marritt enters the role of President of KardianHealth, where he will oversee the growth, innovation, and expanded deployment of Xandar Kardian’s cutting-edge autonomous health monitoring technology.
Marritt brings decades of experience in the medical device industry to this position. In his recent role at Hillrom he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and was instrumental in driving the transformation of Hillrom from a diversified medical device to connected care company. Prior to Hillrom, Marritt spent 17 years at Baxter International Inc in a series of progressively senior leadership roles including the General Manager of the US/Canada Renal business and international assignments in Asia and Latin America.

Joining Xandar Kardian represents a new step into the startup space for Marritt. For Marritt, making the switch from a large corporation to a small but fast-growing start-up was motivated by his enthusiasm for Xandar Kardian’s innovative edge. “I am thrilled to start this new position,” Marritt said. “When I saw the progress the talented team had made in developing and gaining FDA approval for its radar based monitoring technology, I saw how it could really help address the huge staff shortages we are facing while at the same time reducing costs and improving outcomes.
