Pfizer has agreed to pay $93 million to settle antitrust claims by wholesale drug distributors that accused it of conspiring with India’s Ranbaxy Laboratories to delay sales of less expensive, generic versions of the cholesterol drug Lipitor.

The Chamber of Commerce has asked for a preliminary injunction to halt the program before Oct. 1, the deadline for pharma companies to agree to Medicare negotiations on pricing for the first 10 drugs.

The New York-based company has been pressured by declining demand for two of its top drugs, the blood cancer treatment Revlimid and blood thinner Eliquis, which face generic competition.
