Earlier this week the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) held its annual Woman of the Year event. The recipient of this year’s Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition (STAR) volunteer honors went to Liz Paulson, associate VP, Life Sciences for the Healthcare Business of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Ahead of the event, Paulson shared her perspectives on the transformation of the HBA, initiatives in improving patient access to health care, and mentoring women during their career journey.

With reproductive rights under attack and professional and personal challenges escalated as a result of the pandemic, women have been collectively called on to lead with not just authenticity, but also with compassion, kindness, and empathy. “In times of crisis, women take center stage. We are the peace makers, the solution seekers, the voice amplifiers,” said HBA interim CEO Wendy White at the 2022 HBA Annual Conference.
HBA’s Advancement. Commitment. Engagement. (ACE) Awards recognize companies committed to ensuring that gender diversity and leadership opportunities for women are part of their organizational DNA. The awards will be presented on Thursday, 3 November, in conjunction with HBA’s Annual Conference in Philadelphia.
