Walmart Inc. (WMT.N) has agreed to pay $215 million to resolve claims its pharmacies fueled an epidemic of opioid addiction in Florida, the state’s attorney general announced on Thursday.

The state of New Mexico on Tuesday urged a judge to hold Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. (WBA.O) responsible for fueling the opioid crisis in the state, delivering a closing argument in the latest of several trials around the country against the pharmacy chain.

U.S. pharmacy operators Walgreens Boots Alliance, Walmart Inc. and Kroger Co. on Tuesday faced off against the state of New Mexico in the latest trial over their alleged role in the U.S. opioid epidemic, following recent high-profile losses for pharmacies in other lawsuits.

Johnson & Johnson has agreed to pay $40.5 million to settle New Hampshire’s claims over the company’s role in the opioid epidemic, averting a trial that had been scheduled to begin next week.
