RECENT ACCMPLISHMENTS

During the past year, McCann Global Health has nearly doubled in size, with notable wins with leading biopharmaceutical companies launching lifesaving vaccines. As agency of record for patient and health care professional (HCP) campaigns, these wins further reinforce McCann Global Health’s mission to tackle the world’s most challenging global health problems like awareness and education around vaccines. 

Servicing more clients around the globe has led McCann Global Health to acquire top young talent in creative, strategy, project management, and account management, and partner with McCann Worldgroup agencies in Ukraine, Pakistan, Brazil, Singapore, India, the Philippines, and more, the leadership team says. 

“Our growing portfolio of clients and new team members inspired the relaunch of the McCann Global Health website, boasting our agency’s newly designed look and feel,” management says. “The site’s primary purpose is to showcase our work, which includes our recent campaign for Evelyn Lilly Lutz Foundation, in which grandparents take to social media using the language of Gen Z to encourage their grandchildren to stop vaping during COVID-19.”

According to agency executives, “Our Trust Science campaign for UNICEF positions misinformation and non-scientific theories as the “other virus” (which can be even more dangerous than COVID-19). Launching in Ukraine, the campaign calls on celebrities to deliver earnest PSAs, alerting people to how quickly the other virus – misinformation – can spread and cost lives.”

McCann Global Health has supported NGOs, companies, and local governments throughout the pandemic, helping to create impactful awareness, training, and education campaigns. “Our film for the State of New York encouraged the city’s residents to take mask wearing seriously. It was shown at Governor Cuomo’s daily press conference and then shared across multiple official government platforms, increasing the film’s visibility dramatically. With UNICEF and the World Health Organization, we are supporting the risk communications and community engagement taskforce to develop global campaigns, and with Asian Development Bank, the agency is developing strategic frameworks to address COVID-19 in ADB member countries.

“Not all of our work has been COVID-related though, and earlier this year, we launched a new campaign for AB InBev, the world’s largest multinational drink and brewing company, called A to B. It highlights AB InBev’s efforts to make roads safer everywhere and help secure people’s journeys from A to B.”

FUTURE PLANS

Management says McCann Global Health will continue to grow, aiming to become agency of record to organizations aligned with its own vision for creating impact. “We will also seek out projects to support governments, nonprofits, and corporations in their social impact and sustainability efforts. From promoting cleaner manufacturing techniques and recycling programs to helping develop new sustainable efforts, we will take on projects designed to protect scarce natural resources.”

During 2021, the agency is strengthening relationships with clients, growing existing accounts while seeking out new opportunities to deliver award-winning solutions to a range of other urgent health problems.

The agency’s new website will continue to evolve to reflect its new campaign work, interviews with key global health figures, as well as news it is following and McCann Global Health’s own impact in communities around the world.

We participate in several philanthropic initiatives including our consultative services to the World Health Organization on addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, our efforts to support vaccine confidence through the CONVINCE Initiative, and our ongoing work to increase routine immunization in high-burdened communities throughout the world.”
